Eyebrow Arching Turns the Spotlight on You
The eyes always get the attention it deserves when eyebrow arching is used. In this makeup technique, the eyes remain untouched while the work need is done on the eyebrow. The function of the eyebrow is more important than most people give it credit for.
It is the first defense of the eyes against water and sweat; the direction of the eyebrow hair actually channeling the water to the sides instead of heading straight to your eyes. Hence the shape of eyebrows plays an important role.
In makeup, on the other hand, the shape of the eyebrow arch is more aesthetic than functional.
Why Eye Brow Arching Is Done
The perfect shape of the arched eyebrows actually depends on the eyes as well. Round eyes are not expected to have a shapelier arch, but those with smaller eyes would benefit from arching eyebrows. Eyebrow arching is meant to complement the eyes and not to take away people’s attention. The process is very popular because it makes women look beautiful even in the absence of a full makeup.
Furthermore, it does not cost a lot and would only require a few minutes to complete. In the case of thick eyebrows, though, some of the hair may have to be plucked.
How to Arch Eyebrows More Properly
One would need to a spiral brush to comb the hair on your eyebrow. The direction of brushing should start from the top of the nose outward. The next step is adding color to the hair by using a brow pencil. If your eyebrow hair color is naturally dark-colored use a lighter shade. Lighter-colored hairs should use the darker pencils.
The ideal place where the eyebrow begins can be determined using the brow pencil. The edge of the nose should be in line with the inside corner of the eye. It is where the brow should start.

The common problem when eyebrow arching is the difficulty of making sure that the lines on both eyes are the same. In order to maintain the similar look, one can ask the assistance of another person. If you are doing this on your own, you can draw sections of the line one eye first and then apply the same on the other eye. This can create equal shapes, though the lines may not be as continuous when applying on a single eye first.
Once the lines have been perfectly drawn you can start with plucking the excess hair. So that it will not be too painful, make sure that you pull towards their growth direction. Again, you can start from the inside hair and then move outward.
Eyebrow arching adds beauty to an already beautiful face. It just needs a little practice at your end to make it a convenient ritual for you. Do not forget to do this too while standing or sitting in front of the mirror. This is to ensure that you do not miss anything, and you will not get yourself hurt.
