Let Your Cat Face Makeup Steal the Show
Whether you have been influenced by Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical or simply loves the idea of looking like one, getting a cat face makeup never gets dated. It remains to be a popular look over costumed gatherings and especially during Halloween, since it completely transforms any person into a feline companion.
There is something about a cat’s features that make them easy to be translated using face cosmetics, but it does not mean that the entire process will not be tough. With the right face painting makeup and lots of patience, one can successfully morph into a cat and be the star of a party.
Stick to Cat Features
When deciding on taking on a cat makeup, it is essential that you are able to identify the features that really stand out. For a cat these facial features would be the eyes, whiskers, the dark nose, and the mouth. Based on these features, you can then decide the natural face makeup that you are going to use.
For a cat face makeup, the most important makeup tool one will need is a black eyeliner. The black eyeliner will be used to emphasize the cat features, mainly the wings on the eyes, mouth, and the spotted nose.
Cat Colors
Since you will be using a black eyeliner, the rest of the colors that you need to use should be of lighter shade. The lighter shade will complement and highlight the black lines more, making your makeup much more striking. It will also be better if you actually have a picture of a cat as an inspiration, or at least an illustration in order to help you plan your initial strokes.
Like all makeup sessions, it is necessary that your face is thoroughly clean by washing it with water. There is no need to apply any facial wash at this point, though you need to make sure that your face is thoroughly dry before applying any makeup.
Applying the Cat Makeup
Start the cat face makeup process by applying white highlighter on your eyes and then continue through the nose and mouth. There is no need to cover the entire face with white, especially the cheeks since you can apply a different color of your choice later. Afterward, you will then use the black eyeliner to darken the tip of your nose until the holes look like they are hidden. Draw a line that connects the nose to the upper lip and then trace the entire outline of your lips.
You also need to add wings from the sides of the lips, which are basically a short curve that will extend and act as whiskers. For a final touch, add spots on the upper lip.
Now that your cat face makeup is already taking shape, you will focus on transforming your eyes. The cat face makeup can be created in a similar way with the lips, drawing a black line around the eye and then adding wings pointing upward.
Now that the main features of cat makeup are complete, you can then add the rest of the makeup.
